Modules, licensing
The Q-net Pro v7 software package is composed of modules. To utilize the services of each module, the corresponding license must be purchased. The list of modules can be found at the end of this description. Technically, the license is implemented through a certificate. In the "License" menu, you will find two fields on the "Certificate" tab. The left one is a "Server certificate", automatically generated and includes the hardware parameters of the server. The content of this field should be sent to Q-net support team ([email protected]) to request a license certificate. Please also include the purchase invoice or proforma number and the name of the end-user company. Before doing that, make sure that the IP and hostname of the server will be the final one. As a reply we are going to send a "Permitting certificate".
You can either open the certificate file in a text editor and copy its content to the "Permitting certificate" field or use the "Import from file" button to browse the certificate file. Click on "Save" to apply the license.
This certificate includes the amount of peripherals and the validity date. Once the certificate validity ends you will have a 30 days period until the software becomes limited.
