Announcements

Announcements are text messages created by and delivered to the application users. These messages can be sent by any user, who has the 'Send' rights enabled in the 'Announcement' rights group within the roles. The messages can be directed to a single or multiple users, user roles and user groups, or everybody.

To create a new announcement, or review the previous incoming or outgoing messages, click on the envelope icon in the header near the user's name. In the recipients field you can select those who will receive the message. You may customize the message by selecting a priority and type.

The recipient will see the number of unread messages in the header, and will be shown the messages if they click on the envelope accordingly:

The related permissions is handled in a group of rights called Announcement in the Roles section. The read button enables the users to read the announcements, and the send buttons are enable them to send to the corresponding set respectively (single user, role, user group and everybody).

By default, the system administrator role has all permission enabled, and the statistics, monitoring and clerk users have only the read permission enabled.
