Configuring the card readers​

Here you can create and configure card readers, such as RFID, barcode/QR, magnetic half-card, PayPass or national ID readers. A card reader is typically connected through a device controller, and can later be assigned to a ticket dispenser. You can add one anytime by filling in the required fields after pressing the "+ New" button.

Parameters​

Common​

ID​

The ID is given by the system and is required for internal processes, and can serve purposes for debugging in case of issues.

Device type​

The type of the card reader.

Name​

The Name is a user-given name.

Device controller​

Determines which device controller is handling the card reader.

Client ID​

The client identifier (address) of the card reader. For certain reader types it is required and must be entered when you add the device.

Serial port​

The number of the COM port.

Status​

Active/Inactive switch to determine if the device should be used in any service.

  • Ping: to check if your device is online on your network.
