Menu and settings of the device

After power on the device, the Press a key to configure... message will appear on the display. Press any button to enter to configuration menu.

Menu items:

• Chg. Server name – The hostname of the server PC should be typed at this point if you choose connection by hostname at the Connection type menu.

  The setting depends on network settings, not working in every case!

  In case the connection cannot be established with this setting, choose the connection by IP address or Automatic connection method.

• Conn. Type (xxxx) – Choosing the connection method to the server PC. The device can connect to the server by hostname or IP address.

• Server IP Addr. – The IP address of the server PC, should be configured if not the conncetion by hostname option selected.

• Change Port – The number of TCP port, on which the device communicates with the server PC. By default the values is 16002 for Q-net v5.2 or lower and 8000 for v5.6+, in case of Qnet v4, the port number should be 8000 (default device manager port)

• No discover/Auto discover – The automatic connection method can be switched on/off. The benefit of enabling the option, that no need to configure the server settings, the device receives the settings automatically from the server, by broadcast message sent on UDP port. (This option is not working in all network)

  • Lock to server off/ Lock to server on – The device connects automatically to server PC, but only to the defined server. The option is useful if multiple ticket dispensers and servers are running in the same LAN.

• Change host name – The hostname of the ticket dispenser.

  As a default, the hostname is QNETxxxx, where xxxx is the last four digits of the MAC address.

• DHCP enabled/DHCP disabled – To enable/disable DHCP (automatic IP address settings) client option.

• Change static IP – The device’s static IP address can be defined
• Chg. st. Gateway - Static gateway IP address
• Chg. St. Subnet – Subnet mask settings
• Chg. st. pri DNS - IP of primary DNS Server
• Chg. st. sec DNS - IP of secondary DNS server.

Configuration on web interface

The ticket dispenser allows configuring the same settings on web surface as well.

This requires working network connection. The webpage can be opened by typing the IP address or hostname to the browser’s URL field.

The settings are password protected, the default username is admin and the password is 1234.

Lost password and factory settings can be restored in the following way:

During power on, hold the 1st, 2nd and 4th buttons of the control panel.
Config reset message will appear, showing that the default settings were loaded.
